Rules of conduct

Play it straight

• No bots, no macros that play for you, no farming while you are away.
• No modified clients. Most of it fails anyway; trying is still a ban.
• Found an exploit? Stop using it and tell us. Farming it quietly is not the same as reporting it.
• No selling accounts, characters or items for real money. Nothing here is for sale by us either.
• Several accounts is fine. Using them together — self-trading, stacking your own fellowship — is not.

Talking to people

• No harassment, threats or slurs. Nothing sexual involving minors, ever — that is a permanent ban.
• No spam and no advertising. /ooc and /trade are limited to one message every thirty seconds for a reason.
• Don't impersonate another player or an administrator.
• Don't post anyone's personal details, including your own.
• Use /ignore before you escalate.

Player killing

PvP is part of the game. Using the mechanics is not against the rules.

• Inside a PvP area, everyone is fair game and nothing is recorded.
• Outside one, you both need level 15 and the target has to be past their five-minute protection.
• Killing someone who did not start it puts you on their list for ten hours, where everyone can see it.
• While you are on a list, every death costs you a random piece of gear.

What is against the rules: using PvP to harass. Camping one player across sessions, following them to stop them playing, or organising a group to do it.

Guilds

• Owners answer for what their guild organises.
• Don't spam the guild message system.
• Guild and character names follow the same standard as chat.

What happens if you break one

1. A word from an administrator. Most things end here.
2. A mute. You can still play.
3. A kick. Your session closes. Nothing is lost.
4. A ban. You can't sign in. Your characters are not deleted.

Cheating, real-money trading and anything involving minors skip the ladder. Coming back on a new account is treated as doing it again.

Reporting and appeals

By email. Include your account name, roughly when it happened, and what you saw. F5 takes a screenshot in game.

Administrators

They can broadcast, mute, kick and ban. They are not there to referee disputes, hand out items or take sides in PvP. Nobody who runs this server will ever ask for your password, and nobody could read it if you gave it to them.
